Many plants which are part of our basic foodstuffs, such as potatoes or maize, are already being desecrated by gene technology. Also our traditional European basic nutritional plants such as spelt, millet, rye and wheat are threatened by genetic manipulation.
By means of practical work and appeals to the responsible EU members of parliament, the Foundation wants to make big efforts to protect these and other plants, which were part of our great-grandparents’ basic nutrition, against genetic manipulation world-wide.
